plates, 4to. 2008. The arsenal of weapons held in the Swedish old armoury
Livrustkammaren from the period of Gustavus Adolphus, when the armoury
changed from a simple store of old weapons, to a more organised collection
based on the weapons & clothes used by Gustavus in his Prussian campaign
of 1627. The catalogue is a magnificent collection of horse trappings,
swords sabres rapiers & daggers, matchlock muskets pistols & wheellocks
as well as the personal costume of Gustavus, including the bloodied coats
& shirt worn at the battle of Dirschau & the storming of Klein-Werder.
